Truffle Festival 2013

Hunt & Lunch

Book Online; $130pp including lunch (2 courses with fresh truffles), & coffee.
The hunts will be run Sunday 14th July & Sunday 28th July, with a limited number of seats.

Rug up for the safest hunt you'll ever experience!

We meet at Lark Hill for a heart-starting espresso (9am) before driving 5 minutes to Turalla Truffles.
Meet the dogs, sniff the earth and experience the thrill of digging up a piece of black gold.

After the hunt we meet at Lark Hill again to warm up and sit down to two courses of truffle-themed lunch.

Bookings are required, warm clothes are essential and generally we recommend hunts for adults (especially when we get stuck into the truffled vodka!)
There is an opportunity to purchase fresh truffle after the hunt - but you'll need to bring cash.

Truffle Dishes

Truffle adds to the savory character of food and a distinctive, difficult to describe aroma.
It is best experienced fresh, as heat releases the aromas and they may be lost during cooking.

We recommend making truffle butter (add fresh grated truffle to softened butter) as the truffle characters (glutemates) are absorbed into fats and then released when the butter heats up and re-melts. A slice of truffle butter added as a finishing touch to a dish may be the easiest and most effective way to use your truffles!

During the truffle season we will be featuring truffles in and on dishes on our Restaurant menu.
